Auxilium Profugi (lat., “helping refugees”) is an association founded in the course of the war in Ukraine, which has set itself the task of helping refugees. We have been a registered association since April 22nd and we expect to be recognized as a nonprofit.
The impetus for founding the association came largely from our current chairman, Lars Gossard. His impressions of the conditions on the border with Ukraine, which he traveled to alone with a full of relief supplies made him realize that more needs to be done – and the rest of the founding members agreed with him.
The foundation of the association took place almost immediately, the registration was also surprisingly quick – great praise here to “the bureaucracy” that has shown itself at its best. A bank account could also be set up immediately, so we are formally able to act.
